Jumping into painting again, I was excited to participate in a virtual workshop lead by Jill Steenhuis – Art in Provence. Many years ago as a university student, I studied for a semester in Aix-en-Provence, France. A few of my classes were studio art classes at The Marchutz School of Fine Arts. I discovered Jill last spring as she is an American who also studied in Aix and has made her home there. Prior to the scheduled workshop dates, I received materials to review, readings to ponder and video’s to watch. I also began drawing every day and started mixing some paints. Overall, I am planning to practice, study and learn again. I love connecting through drawing, mixing colors and painting and plan to continue this journey of seeing, hearing, and feeling nature. In a sense, to create A Lasting Impression. The following is a gallery of some of my work from an enjoyable experience.
