Peace
We are now entering the second week of Advent with peace in our hearts for the promise of proximity, the nearness of God. Even when we forget to listen, to lean into that presence, God is as close as our own breath. Be still and listen. This, in a confused and confusing world, is a peace that passes all understanding. It is the peace that knows that company is coming.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Luke 2:14
Taking time to cross country ski has created some wonderful Lasting Impressions during our Wisconsin winters. The Green Circle trail system near my home is wonderful. Over 6 miles of groomed ski loops are available for peaceful classic skiing through the woods and along the Plover river. Also nearby we are able to enjoy ice skating, snow shoeing, and down hill skiing. I almost forgot to include the iconic toboggan run in our local park. This may not be peaceful but it sure is fun!
